A young man identified as Ibrahim Musa has been arrested for allegedly killing his 50-year-old mother. The incident occurred on May 4th, 2023, at about 10 pm, at Rimin Kebbe Quarters in Nassarawa Local Government Area. Musa was apprehended on Friday at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area following a tip-off from concerned citizens. He was said to have confessed to the crime and to being involved in an illegal drug trade.

The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Mohammed Gumel, confirmed the arrest and expressed appreciation to those who provided the information that led to the suspect’s arrest. He also praised the police tactical teams for ensuring that the perpetrator was brought to justice. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspect is in police custody and will be charged to court once the investigation is completed.

A resident of the area, who preferred to remain anonymous, expressed shock over the incident, stating that it was unfortunate that a son could take the life of his own mother. The incident has left many people in the community in distress and disbelief.
