According to the Forum, Governor Makinde has earned their trust and admiration by redefining governance in Nigeria through impactful and people-oriented policies. In the agricultural sector, the Forum lauded the establishment of the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub and the ongoing development of the Eruwa Agribusiness Hub. They also highlighted the planned Ijaiye Wholesale Market, which contributed to Oyo State becoming the first sub-national in Africa to gain admission into the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUMM).
They further praised the governor’s efforts in employment creation, stating that nearly 30,000 residents have been employed across education, health, local government, and the civil service, while the informal sector has experienced growth due to the administration’s economic policies.
The Ward Chairmen expressed gratitude for Governor Makinde’s inclusive approach to party management, particularly his support for the PDP State Working Committee and Local Government Party Chairmen. They, however, appealed for similar support to be extended to Ward Chairmen, many of whom have laboured diligently for the success of the party over the years.
The Forum concluded by reaffirming their loyalty and readiness to follow Governor Makinde’s leadership into the 2027 elections, describing him as a transformational leader whose legacy of good governance deserves continued support.
