In celebration of its 20th anniversary of media excellence, the vibrant media organization, ParrotXtra Media Network, has concluded plans to host governors from the Southwest region of Nigeria at a groundbreaking event.
The historic Southwest Leadership & Legacy Summit—the first of its kind—will take place on May 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. The venue is the newly launched The Exellessor, located beside BCOS, Basorun, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will play host to his fellow governors from the region. The summit’s theme, “Southwest: Critical Issues to Shape the Future,” will guide discussions aimed at shaping the region’s path forward.
Prominent Yoruba traditional rulers will grace the event as Royal Fathers of the Day. These include:
The Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Owoade, Owoade I
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I
The Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba (Dr.) Adedokun Abolarin, Aroyinkeye I
The first female Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Monsurat Sunmonu, will serve as the Mother of the Day. Meanwhile, Dr. Seye Oyeleye, Director General of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, will deliver the keynote address as Guest Speaker.

Agboola, who celebrates his 60th birthday on the day of the event, oversees ParrotXtra’s multifaceted operations.
