Eagle FM, the award-winning and beloved radio station has taken broadcasting beyond the studio by impacting lives of its listeners in the areas of health, education, food palliative, sports and general well-being, thereby enlivening their bodies and souls.

The Radio station located in Ilese Ijebu, Ogun State, during its electrifying two-week second anniversary celebration, organized series of programmes where the management hosted a medical outreach program offering free eye check-ups, glasses, and general medical examinations. It awarded and sponsored two free cataract surgeries, thereby further emphasizing its dedication to making a positive impact beyond entertainment.

Apart from leaving its listeners buzzing with excitement while the celebration lasted, Eagle FM recognized the economic hardships many people in its community were going through and so organized a feeding program for the teeming listeners who attended its activities. 347 widows were fed, just as 12 of their talented but indigent children in both primary and secondary schools were empowered with educational scholarship opportunities aimed at supporting them to secure their future.

While appreciating the importance of healthy living in sound body, Eagle FM engaged in a spirited novelty match against Super FM at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode. The one-nil victory for Eagle FM not only added to the festive atmosphere, but also fostered camaraderie within the broadcast industry.

Highlights of the celebration included a charity drive which was aimed at supporting underprivileged communities in the station’s broadcast area where listeners enthusiastically participated by donating funds and essential items, thus, demonstrating the impact that Eagle FM has beyond the airwaves.

The celebration also brought an electrifying outdoor broadcast experience to Sagamu Akarigbo Market as the station ventured to engage directly with its audience in a vibrant celebration of two years of exceptional broadcasting. The outdoor broadcast was characterized by lively interactions, pulsating music, and an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm, thereby bringing the excitement of live radio to the streets. The station reaffirmed its strong connection with its audience and underscored its commitment to delivering quality broadcasting.

In the field of music and entertainment, the event featured a performance by renowned Fuji maestro, Alhaji Taye Currency, who treated the large crowd that attended to scintillating, electrifying and soul-lifting lyrics, thereby making the second year anniversary an unforgettable experience.

As the anniversary celebrations came to a close with a thanksgiving at the St Paul Anglican church Ilese-Ijebu, Jumat service was also observed at Ilese-Ijebu Central Mosque. Fostering tolerance, unity and harmony within the community, Eagle FM reinforced its position as a beacon of quality broadcasting and community engagement, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the years to come.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle 102.5 FM, Sir (Otunba) Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, appreciated the radio’s teeming listeners and customers for their unflinching supports and commitment towards advancing the laudable objectives of the ‘Airwave Master’. In his words, “Eagle 102.5 FM will continue to revolutionize the broadcasting industry, pragmatically touching the lives of our listening audience beyond the airwaves”.
