Adekunle Ifeoluwa, a 300 level Economics student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Ondo State, has passed on. It is reported that she was found d£ad in her room on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

A source familiar with the incident reports, “Ifeoluwa as found in a pool of her own bl%od in her room.

Apparently, she had been §t+bbed to d£ath by an unknown individual. Eyewitnesses took the matter to the police but it is alleged they aren’t helping in any way to track or investigate who k her.

We implore the Ondo state Government to please look into the matter and ensure that Ifeoluwa gets justice.”

This is truly a tragic incident that has occurred at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba in Ondo State. The loss of a young student’s life is devastating, and it is disheartening to hear that the police are allegedly not taking the matter seriously.

The safety and security of students should be a top priority for any educational institution and the government. It is crucial that the authorities thoroughly investigate this case and ensure that justice is served for Adekunle Ifeoluwa. No stone should be left unturned in determining the identity of the perpetrator and bringing them to justice.

Cases like these remind us of the importance of security measures on university campuses. It is essential for institutions to have effective surveillance systems, well-trained security personnel, and mechanisms in place to respond promptly to any incidents. Additionally, continuous safety awareness campaigns and self-defense training can empower students to protect themselves in dangerous situations.

The Ondo state government should also play an active role in addressing security concerns in the state. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure the safety of its citizens, and in this case, students attending the university. By committing to thorough investigations and providing adequate security measures, the government can restore the faith of the public in its ability to maintain law and order.

The loss of Adekunle Ifeoluwa’s life is a tragedy that should not be taken lightly. It is a stark reminder that more needs to be done to guarantee the safety and well-being of students in our educational institutions.
