The Candidate of Accord in the just concluded 2023 Governorship Election in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has commiserate with the entire Lankodoro family in Otun Oje’s compound in Ibadan North East local government over the passing away of their Patriarch, Pa Samson Lankodoro.
Chief Adelabu in his condolence message made available to newsmen by his Media Aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro described Pa Lankodoro as a rare gem and core progressive who received grace of God through longevity and sound health.
“Receiving the call of his creator at the Age of 111 is a divine grace especially in this country where life expectancy is even below 50. Baba received uncommon grace from God which I think he even acknowledged and appreciated during his life time.”
“As far as the progressive fold is concerned, no person was older than Pa Lankondoro who according to history was a political associate to late Premier of the western region Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the first organising secretary of Defunt Action Group , as well as first Private secretary of one of the major Financier of National Democratic Coalition NADECO, Pa Alfred Rewane” Adelabu said.
Chief Bayo Adelabu whose grandfather and Pa landokoro hailed from Ibadan said that history will surely remember Pa Lakondoro for his love and passion for development of oyo state especially in the areas of progressive politics and sports.
Chief Adelabu wishes Pa Lakondoro eternal rest and grant the family the fortitude to bear this great loss.
