Ajorosun College of Health Technology, a prominent private health institution in Oyo State, marked a significant milestone on Thursday, January 30, 2025, as it held its inaugural matriculation ceremony, formally admitting its first cohort of students.

The Provost, Dr. Adeniyi Odedele, who served as the Chief Host, expressed his joy at the institution’s progress and lauded the governing council for turning the vision of the college into reality. He congratulated the newly admitted students, emphasizing that their enrollment signified the beginning of a transformative academic journey.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the college’s establishment, Dr. Odedele noted that his commitment to grassroots healthcare motivated the initiative, recognizing it as a crucial pillar of societal well-being.

Acknowledging the economic difficulties facing the country, he assured students and their families that the institution had structured its tuition fees to be affordable, with flexible payment plans designed to ease financial burdens.

“We understand the economic realities, and we have tailored our tuition structure to be moderate while offering an installment-based payment option to support students and their guardians,” he stated.

Dr. Odedele further reassured students of a high-quality learning experience, highlighting that the institution had carefully selected experienced tutors who would not only impart academic knowledge but also instill ethical values.

“Our faculty comprises seasoned professionals dedicated to equipping students with both technical expertise and strong moral foundations essential for the healthcare profession,” he added.

He urged parents and sponsors to provide unwavering support to students, encouraging the matriculants to uphold discipline, commitment, and excellence in their studies.

“As future health professionals, you will be instrumental in shaping the healthcare sector. This institution is committed to preparing you with the requisite knowledge, skills, and innovative mindset to improve health outcomes and save lives,” he said.

Dr. Odedele also advised students to make the most of the available academic resources, foster meaningful relationships with peers and faculty, and build a strong support system for their academic and professional growth.

In a goodwill message, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, represented by Comrade Olumide Ayodeji, commended the college’s leadership for establishing a standard of excellence. He described the matriculation as a historic achievement that should inspire students to strive for greatness.

Reaffirming Governor Makinde’s commitment to youth development, Comrade Ayodeji highlighted the administration’s efforts in empowering young professionals across various sectors.

“This institution is shaping your future. Beyond academic success, character and self-confidence will set you apart as professionals and leaders,” he advised.

He encouraged the students to excel in their studies, uphold moral values, and contribute positively to the reputation of both the institution and Oyo State.

Adding his voice to the celebration, Mr. Jonathan Ajah, Head of the Department of Community Health, praised the provost’s visionary leadership. He disclosed that efforts were underway to secure accreditation for additional programs, further expanding academic opportunities at the institution.
