The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, in the early hours of Saturday, August 12, told his church members to pray for God to k!ll him before sunrise if he consults demonic forces.
The clergyman was about to commence his sermon for the night when he told his members what he read online about him using demonic powers to do signs and wonders.
He said he typically did not listen to what prophets said about him, but that this particular one which trended a few days before intrigued him.
He said he wanted to ignore it but while praying for the convention, he realized he would need to address it because some people might believe it.
He said the prophet claimed that there were demons in the Redemption Camp who told him what to say to the audience members but pretend to be working for God and using God’s power.
He said in order to clear his name, he would want all the members gathered in the three-kilometres-by-three-kilometres new auditorium of the church along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway to rise to their feet and pray that God should take his life before sunrise if he indeed consults demonic powers and if not, God should increase his anointing seven-fold.
