The All Progressives Congress in Oyo state is urging the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbedokun, to launch a comprehensive investigation into the recent case involving Mr. Mukaila

Lamidi, the former boss of the Park Management System (PMS) in the state. Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary, was recently arrested by the Department of State Security and is facing charges including murder, possession of illegal arms, and other crimes.

In a statement released by the Oyo APC’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, the party expressed concerns about selective justice and called for a thorough investigation to uncover the sponsors and accomplices behind Lamidi’s alleged criminal activities. The party highlighted Lamidi’s close connections to the ruling party and the state governor, suggesting he could not have acted alone without support from influential figures.

The statement also praised the efforts of the Department of State Security in apprehending Lamidi, who was described as a longtime threat to the residents of Oyo state. The party alleged that Lamidi had been operating with impunity and had access to a significant arsenal of weapons, some of which were reportedly intended for the Amotekun Corps in the state.

Oyo APC further raised questions about Lamidi’s close relationship with the state governor, pointing out his involvement in various political activities and campaigns alongside the governor. The party called for a comprehensive investigation to expose those responsible for supporting Lamidi and to ensure that all individuals involved in political violence and criminal activities in the state face justice.
