The Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria(AWTPN), Oyo State Chapter, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 would formally swear in TPL. Dr. Oladiran Ibiyinka Olaide into office as Chairperson at a dignified ceremony which would be held at Mercy Land Event Place, Opposite FRSC Onireke, Ibadan.

The statement noted that the investiture of the new Chairperson alongside other executive members would mark a new chapter in AWTPN’s journey towards addressing the pressing challenges ahead and to continue building an inclusive nation.
AWTPN described TPL. Dr. Oladiran Ibiyinka Olaide, as a dedicated and seasoned professional with several years of extensive experience traversing the public and private sectors.
According to the statement, “TPL. Dr. Oladiran Ibiyinka Olaide is a visionary leader whose significant contributions to sustainable urban management and environmental services have made a lasting impact on both communities and the environment.
“Her deep knowledge, hands-on experience, and commitment to professional development have established her as a thought leader and innovator in sustainable urban planning and management.
“She has proven herself as a leader who is passionate about sustainable planning and nation-building through several initiatives that foster organizational growth, “it said.
The statement noted that the sound educational and professional background of Dr. Oladiran made her a round peg in a round hole as new chairperson of AWTPN in Oyo state.
“The upcoming investiture is anticipated to attract prominent figures from various professional bodies, further highlighting the invaluable contributions of town planners in fostering development within Nigeria’s urban planning landscape, “it said.
