Bobrisky to Regain Freedom on August 5 After Serving Jail Term for Naira Abuse

Cross-dresser and social media influencer Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is set to be released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024, after completing his prison sentence.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in jail on April 12, 2024, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court. He had been arraigned on April 5, 2024, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and charged with a four-count charge of naira abuse.

According to a source quoted by The Punch newspaper, Bobrisky will be released from custody upon the completion of his prison term. His lawyer, Ayo Olumofin, confirmed the development, stating that there is no special arrangement for his release other than the lawyer showing up to escort him out.
