Nollywood Veteran Mr Ibu, whose real name is John Okarfor, has sadly passed away at the age of 62. Reports from close sources reveal that the renowned actor and comedian died at Evercare Hospital. Fans are expressing their condolences on social media, sharing their favorite memories of the late actor’s movies.

However, details regarding the cause of death and the reliability of these reports remain unclear at the moment. Mr Ibu’s family and representatives have yet to make a public statement about his passing. It is worth noting that he had been facing health challenges since October 2023 and had undergone multiple surgeries, leading to the amputation of his leg. Nevertheless, there were positive updates in November indicating that he was on the road to recovery.

Tragically, Mr Ibu’s death occurs less than 24 hours after the passing of another Nollywood Veteran Actor, Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri.
