Alhaji Lateef Akinsola, also known as Tokyo, a former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State  has debunked his death rumor.

He stated this on Sunday morning in Fresh FM on a program anchored by Abolade Salami ( Agbami Oselu)

Reports had emerged on Saturday suggesting that Akinsola had passed away, prompting sympathizers to flock to his residence in Akobo, Ibadan to offer their condolences.

However, Tokyo made a surprise appearance on Sunday to dispel the news of his demise and assure his well-wishers that he is very much alive.

During the live radio interview, Tokyo expressed his gratitude to everyone who had shown concern and reached out to him during the challenging time. He explained that the rumor of his death had caused significant distress to his family and loved ones but assured them that he is in good health.

Tokyo also took the opportunity to address the political tension in Oyo State, urging his supporters to maintain peace and harmony. He emphasized the need for unity and urged everyone to support the current leadership in the state, led by Governor Seyi Makinde.
