The online sphere is ablaze with reports suggesting that Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, Nigeria’s former Military President, has died.

Facebook user Olagunju Wale Moses shared, “Information just received from Minna indicates the passing of General IBB.”

Contradicting these claims, another user, Sidiali Abdulsidi, recounted visiting the ex-military leader on Tuesday in a Facebook update.
