The Ibadan community is in mourning following the passing of Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland. Oba Adebimpe died on Wednesday after a brief illness, according to reliable sources.

Oba Adebimpe was a respected traditional ruler who had the honor of representing the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, at the recent unveiling of the new palace of the Olubadan in Oke Aremo, Ibadan North local government area. This event was reported to be his last official outing before his untimely demise.

Notably, Oba Adebimpe was conspicuously absent from the coronation ceremony of Oba Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, which was held at the Mapo Hall. The details surrounding his transition are still somewhat unclear at the time of this report.
