There was a commotion on Monday afternoon at Ire Akari Estate Area of Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State as a furniture shop was gutted by fire.

The residents of Ire Akari Estate Area sprang into action as soon as they noticed the fire. With buckets of water, fire extinguishers, and any other available resources, they tried to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring buildings. However, their efforts seemed futile as the fire grew more intense.
News of the outbreak spread quickly through the community and soon, firefighters from the Oyo State Fire Service arrived at the scene. Equipped with fire trucks and other necessary firefighting equipment, they battled the raging inferno.
According to eyewitnesses, the firefighters fought the fire for several hours before finally bringing it under control. However, by that time, the furniture shop had been completely destroyed, reduced to charred rubble and ashes. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, as everyone present managed to escape unharmed.
