The son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu, has donated the sum of N15 Million to support Liam Aloba, the son of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.

Mohbad, who died at the age of 27 last Tuesday, was earlier signed to Marlian Record belonging to Naira Marley but left the label in February 2022.

In a post on Thursday on X, Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, disclosed that the President’s son has offered his support to Mohbad’s son.

Sharing a photo of the transaction receipt, Dada wrote: “The figurative apple that did not fall far from the tree #RIPIMOLE. Thank you, ST.””

In the wake of singer Mohbad’s tragic passing, there has been an outpouring of support from both fans and the music industry. One particular act of generosity has caught the attention of many – Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has made a significant contribution to support Mohbad’s son, Liam Aloba.

Liam Aloba, now left without a father at a tender age, will be the recipient of a donation amounting to N15 Million from Seyi Tinubu. This gesture has touched the hearts of many, especially considering the close connection between Tinubu and Mohbad’s legacy.

Before his untimely demise, Mohbad had been signed to Marlian Record, owned by popular Nigerian artist Naira Marley. However, in February 2022, Mohbad decided to part ways with the label. Despite their professional separation, it is evident that Tinubu recognized the immense talent and potential that Mohbad possessed.

The news of Tinubu’s donation was made public by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, who took to X to share a photo of the transaction receipt. Alongside the image, Dada stated, “The figurative apple that did not fall far from the tree #RIPIMOLE. Thank you, ST.” These words not only express gratitude to Tinubu but also hint at their shared commitment to supporting the next generation of artists.

Seyi Tinubu’s benevolent act serves as a powerful reminder that compassion and empathy transcend societal boundaries. Regardless of one’s political affiliations, this act of kindness resonates with individuals across the nation. The impact of such a generous donation will undoubtedly provide Liam Aloba with a secure foundation for his future.

As news of Tinubu’s donation spreads, it is hoped that others in positions of influence will be inspired to extend their support to the families left behind by talented individuals who have graced the Nigerian music industry. In the face of tragedy, acts of kindness and solidarity remind us of the importance of unity and compassionate action.
