Nigeria Police Force has arrested a man who is allegedly behind the recent kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism events taking place in Ekiti State, in the recent time.
In recent times, there have been many cases of kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism in Ekiti State. This has led to the killing of many residents including two monarchs who were recently killed in the state by some suspected Fulani bandits.
The arrested 80-year-old man who was simply identified as Pa Olowofela, has been linked to various kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism incidents that have occurred in Ekiti State, recently.
Pa Olowofela was alleged to be the mastermind of the killings of three monarchs in Ekiti and Kwara States.
Pa Olowofela was arrested by the soldiers during a sting operation against the incessant actions of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism across the country.
The police said, “Introducing Pa Olowofela, an 80+-year-old individual involved in kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism in Ekiti state. He is alleged to be the mastermind behind acts of banditry, killings, and kidnappings in both his home state and Kwara state, including the tragic killing of three monarchs. Gallant soldiers have successfully apprehended him.
