President Bola Tinubu who was at the 63rd independence anniversary ceremony of the Republic of Benin was captured by camera sleeping.
The president was at the event marking 63 years Benin gained independence from France on August 1, 1960 — two months before Nigeria.
Tinubu and other leaders are currently at Amazone Square, Cotonou, the country’s capital, to celebrate the independence anniversary.
Tinubu arrived in Cotonou, Benin’s capital, on Tuesday morning.
On Monday, Dele Alake, Tinubu’s special adviser on special duties, communications and strategy, announced that the president is the special guest of honour.
But in pictures below, the president was spotted dosing off at the event and this is presently generating controversies from different quarters.
