Ramon Adedoyin

The Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo State, has confirmed the death sentence given to Ramon Adedoyin, a prominent hotelier, for his role in the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a former Master's student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

In its judgment, the appellate court upheld the earlier ruling of the Osun State High Court, which sentenced Adedoyin to death. The court, which reserved its decision on October 29, 2024, ruled that the High Court's judgment was valid and that Adedoyin had been properly convicted.

Adegoke’s death came to light in November 2021, when he was found lifeless at the Hilton Honours Hotel in Ile-Ife, where he had been staying.
