Army Declares 8 Persons Wanted In Connection To Killing Of 17 Soldiers In Okuama (See full list)

The Nigerian Military has declared 8 Persons wanted For the killings of the Nigerial Army 17 Army Personnel in Okuama Community in Delta State and as well as confirmed the released of  313 suspects in detention for terrorism-related offenses to Borno State government after a court Order. 

Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. General Edward Buba confirmed this on Thursday,  28th March 2024 at a media briefing on military operations across the six-geopolitical zones in the country. 

According to General Buba, the court ordered the release for want of evidence after the conclusion of investigation and other ancillary matters.

The cases were prosecuted by the Department of Prosecution, Federal Minitry of Justice. Accordingly they would be handed over to the Borno State Government for further action.

He noted that troops of Operation HADIN ΚΑΙ recorded a significant occurrence during the week. As a follow-up to a court order of the Federal High Court in Maiduguri.

Overall, troops of Operation HADIN KΑΙ neutralized 52 terrorists, arrested 137 and rescued 78 kidnapped hostages within week. Troops recovered 3 M56 rifles, 40 AK47 rifles, 3 PKT guns, 889 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 310 rounds of 7.62mm NATO amongst others.

Below are 8 persons declared wanted by the Nigerian Army in connection with the gruesome murder of 17 personnel in Okuama community.

They are:

2. Professor Ekpekpo Arthur

3. Andaowei Dennis Bakriri

4. Igoli Ebi

5. Akata Malawa David

6. Sinclear Oliki

7. Clement Ikolo Oghenerukevwe

8. Reuben Baru
