The Federal Government of Nigeria has suspended two senior officers from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in connection with allegations of misconduct involving controversial figure Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky.
Among those suspended is the Deputy Controller of Corrections at the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC) in Kirikiri. The suspensions come in the wake of a bribery scandal that emerged after an audio recording surfaced online, purportedly revealing the officers’ involvement in questionable practices related to Bobrisky’s incarceration.
