A couple narrowly avoided disaster early Wednesday morning when their SUV, a 2020 Range Rover, rolled into the Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park while they were engaged in intimate activity. The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m., approximately two miles from Philadelphia City Hall.
According to NBC10, the couple, whose identities have not been released, were caught off guard when one of their limbs accidentally bumped the gear stick, causing the vehicle to roll over the edge and into the water. Fortunately, both individuals managed to exit the SUV before it sank.
Local police reported that neither person sustained any injuries during the incident. Authorities believe the mishap occurred as the couple was engrossed in their activity inside the vehicle.
The Range Rover was successfully pulled from the river around 9 a.m. on the same day. Police indicated that no charges will be filed against the couple regarding the incident.
