Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has stirred significant controversy on social media after submitting a petition to the Inspector-General of Police, accusing fellow artist Davido of multiple offenses.
The petition, which has gained widespread attention, raises five main issues, including a request for the reopening of the case surrounding the death of the late Tagbo. Additionally, it alleges that Dammy Krane received death threats from an associate of Davido.
In his appeal to the Inspector-General, Dammy Krane also demands the lifting of bans on his financial accounts, claiming these restrictions have limited his access to his funds. Further intensifying the situation, he is seeking $500,000 from Davido for his contributions to the song "Pere," a fee he claims was initially agreed upon but never paid.
Following his recent arrest and subsequent release from the Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, Dammy Krane has maintained his stance and has not backed down from his accusations against Davido, which initially sparked the controversy.
The petition has ignited a fierce debate online, with many users expressing outrage and disbelief at Dammy Krane's allegations directed at the popular musician.
