Tragedy struck in Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta State, as a groom-to-be was reportedly killed in a cult-related attack on what was supposed to be his wedding day. The harrowing incident took place on Friday morning, claiming two lives and leaving one person severely injured.
An eyewitness described the chaos of the scene, recounting that the groom-to-be was attacked by suspected cultists while he was out with friends purchasing wedding items. "He was walking with friends when the assailants struck," the witness said.
Efforts to reach law enforcement for comments on the incident have so far been unsuccessful. In response to the attack, security personnel have increased patrols and set up roadblocks in the area in an attempt to prevent any further violence. Community members are left mourning the loss and in fear as they await a sense of safety.
