Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has revealed that her first experience of betrayal came from her mother, who left her life when she was just two years old.

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Hauwa Magaji, Bimbo shared her candid thoughts about her relationship with her mother. When asked why she only celebrates her father on social media, the actress explained:

“My mother is very much alive. She lives about fifteen to twenty minutes away from me, but we just don’t have a friendship. She left when I was two, and so my first-ever betrayal came from her. I tried to build a relationship with her, but right now, we only have a formal connection. I fulfill my duties as a child—paying rent and allowances—but that’s where it ends. For my mental health and sanity, I am perfectly fine with the no-closeness zone we are in.”

Bimbo, who has often spoken about her deep bond with her father, emphasized that while she respects her mother, her heart remains with the parent who raised her.
