The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Edo State governorship election. Okpebholo secured a total of 291,667 votes, defeating his closest competitor, Asue Ighodalo, who garnered 247,274 votes.
Earlier, INEC has released results from 16 out of the 18 local government areas in the state, with results from two remaining areas yet to be declared.
