The owner of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Ibadan, Chief Dotun Sanusi, has described the death of the Oyo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isaac Omodewu, as a personal loss.

In a statement released to the press, Sanusi said: "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Isaac Omodewu, a man I considered a friend and brother.

“His death is a personal loss to me, and I am still trying to come to terms with the reality of his departure,” Sanusi who doubles as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland lamented.

Sanusi praised Omodewu's leadership qualities, saying: "He was a great leader who dedicated his life to the service of our State and the people of Oyo State.

“His contributions as Commissioner during late Senator Abiola Ajimobi administration can never be forgotten in a hurry.

“He was always coming to Ilaji Resort as my friend and great supporter. During the 2023 election, he was always appreciating my supports for Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He will never be forgotten."

He also commended Omodewu's commitment to the development of the state, saying: "Isaac was a true patriot who worked tirelessly for the progress of Oyo State.

“His legacy will continue to inspire us to strive for excellence."

He then offered his condolences to Omodewu's family and the APC, saying: "I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of Isaac Omodewu and the entire political family he left behind.

“May his soul rest in peace, and may God grant us the strength to bear this great loss,” Sanusi prayed for the repose of his soul.
