Former President of the Nigeria and Africa Union of Journalists, Lanre Ogundipe, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Ademola Babalola, the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Chapter, following the death of his mother, Madam Wulemot Aweni Babalola.
In a condolence message from Abuja, Ogundipe described the news of her passing as a "rude shock." He expressed profound sadness over the loss, which occurred in the early hours of the day.
"Mama Wulemot Aweni Babalola's passage is painful, not only to her immediate family but to all who encountered her and felt her warmth and philanthropy," he wrote.
Ogundipe highlighted Madam Babalola's dedication as a devout Muslim and entrepreneur, noting her commitment to productive ventures and the guidance she provided to her children in their pursuits of success.
He concluded his message by praying for the repose of her soul and encouraging Ademola Babalola to find solace in the exemplary life led by his mother.
