In preparation for the upcoming April 27 Local Government election in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has demonstrated his solidarity and support by donating a total sum of N13 million to the party and its candidates.
The donation, aimed at boosting the campaign efforts of the party, was announced during a meeting with the candidates at the party Secretariat in Ibadan. Senator Alli, known for his dedication to promoting unity and progress within the party, distributed the funds strategically to support the nine local government chairmanship candidates in Oyo South with N300,000 each. Additionally, the 99 councillors received N50,000 each, and the party structures in the nine local governments were allocated N500,000, among other allocations.
Senator Alli explained that his support serves as a testament to his belief in the importance of grassroots democracy and effective representation. During the meeting, he advised the candidates on the need for unity, dedication, and commitment to the party's values and objectives. Hon. Kehinde Subair, a former Majority Leader in the House of Assembly, also provided valuable counsel to the candidates, highlighting the significance of unity, purpose-driven leadership, and effective communication in political campaigns.
