The Bona Vacantia division of the UK government is responsible for handling unclaimed estates. Under UK law, when a person dies without a will and without known heirs, their estate is transferred to the Crown. Interested claimants, including relatives of the deceased, can apply to recover these estates if they can establish a legitimate connection.
Families of the deceased Nigerians listed are encouraged to check their eligibility and submit claims for the unclaimed assets. More details on the claims process can be found on the official UK government website.
