COLEEN BAWN, Zimbabwe — A man was fatally stabbed during a violent confrontation on October 3, 2024, in an incident stemming from a dispute over a woman. The victim, 34-year-old Mlamuleli Mangena, died following a brutal attack at the Forest H60 Mine.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), six individuals were involved in the assault, with three suspects—identified as Trinity, Benito, and Mashelly—currently in custody. A manhunt is underway for three additional suspects connected to the deadly incident.
Reports indicate that the confrontation escalated into violence as the group attacked Mangena, striking him with a sharp object during a heated argument. Tragically, the violence extended beyond Mangena. Another victim, 30-year-old Tinashe Chirenje, suffered severe injuries and is currently in critical condition after being attacked with a machete and axe.
The police have called on the public for assistance in the investigation, urging anyone with information regarding the remaining suspects to come forward.
