Barrister Chris Agidy, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has been found dead after being abducted by bandits in 2023.

The confirmation of his death was made by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh. In November 2023, gunmen kidnapped 19 people from their homes in the Galadimawa area of the nation's capital.

Earlier reports suggested that 12 of the abductees had been killed, but the identities of the deceased were unclear as efforts were made to rescue Agidy.

On Tuesday, the FCT PPRO confirmed that Agidy was one of the victims killed by notorious kidnapper Samaila Wakili. Wakili was apprehended on February 24 in the Sardauna Forest, located in the Toto area of Nasarawa State.

Following his arrest, Wakili led police to the location of Agidy's remains, which were recovered and taken to the Gwagwalada General Hospital.
