Former deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Manhood Olalekan Balogun, during a visit to the late traditional ruler's palace.

Gbolarumi described the late king as a father figure and trusted confidant, emphasizing the immense loss and personal grief he feels.

He acknowledged the significant contributions of the late monarch in promoting peace, security, and development in Yoruba and Oyo State.

Gbolarumi called on the Yoruba people and others to pray for the peaceful repose of the monarch's soul and offered his condolences to the immediate family, encouraging them to find comfort in the influential and fulfilling life the late king lived.

Aremo Olufemi Balogun, the eldest son of the late traditional ruler, echoed these sentiments and requested prayers for the peaceful rest of his father's soul.
