In a move to bolster tourism and hospitality in Oyo State, the Jagz Hotel, located in Iyaganku GRA, opposite the NUJ Press Centre, is set to have its grand opening on October 1st, 2024.
The hotel's chairman and CEO, Engr Kayode Adegbulugbe, recently paid a courtesy call on Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday, ahead of the hotel's launch.
During the visit, Governor Makinde expressed his admiration for the hotel's architectural design and its strategic location in Ibadan. He promised that his government would continue to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.
Makinde commended Adegbulugbe as a role model for young entrepreneurs, highlighting his contribution to Nigeria's economic growth.
Adegbulugbe, who was accompanied by Engr Tunji Akinboro, the MD of ElSabio Development Limited, Mr. Bode Falope, and Mr. Dewalt Kruger, the CEO of Silk Road Hospitality, expressed gratitude to the Governor for fostering a conducive atmosphere for business development.
He praised the Governor's efforts in improving road infrastructure, sports, tourism, and hospitality development in the state.
The Jagz Hotel boasts 80 rooms, including standard, executive, and double standard accommodations, as well as a 350-seater conference hall, a swimming pool, and other state-of-the-art facilities. The hotel aims to provide international-standard services at affordable prices.
During the meeting, the Governor and Adegbulugbe discussed potential collaborations and government support to ensure the hotel's success.
Governor Makinde stated that Adegbulugbe's initiative aligns with his government's efforts to boost economic growth, attract investors, and promote tourism in Oyo State.
Adegbulugbe further hinted that the Jagz Hotel is poised to become a landmark in Ibadan's hospitality industry, offering world-class services and facilities.
The grand opening of the Jagz Hotel on October 1st, 2024, is expected to be a significant event in Oyo State's tourism and hospitality calendar.
