The Jeremi family has announced the passing of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Lilian Jeremi, who died on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at the age of 74 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Jeremi was the mother of prominent businessman and oil magnate, Sholaye Jeremi. According to a statement released by the family's media consultant, Obafemi Ajayi, the Jeremi family is in mourning but grateful for the life their matriarch lived.
"While we mourn her passing, we are grateful for the life she lived and the legacy of hard work, courage, faith, discipline, along with her commitment to God, to Church, to family and community," the statement read.
Mrs. Jeremi was described as a devout Christian who is survived by her children, grandchildren, and other family members. The family has asked the public to keep them in their prayers and to grant Mrs. Jeremi eternal rest.
Announcements regarding the funeral arrangements will be made by the Jeremi family in due course, the statement concluded.
