dian community, an 11-year-old student named Kritarth has reportedly been killed as part of a sacrificial ritual allegedly orchestrated by officials at DL Public School. The police have apprehended five suspects, including the school’s owner, director, principal, and two teachers.
Details of the Incident
The distressing events took place on September 23, when Kritarth was abducted from the school’s hostel by teacher Ramprakash Solanki, school director Dinesh Baghel, and Jasodhan Singh, the owner of the institution. Investigators allege that Singh, who is said to have a belief in tantrik rituals, instructed his son, Baghel, to sacrifice a child to enhance the school’s and their family’s fortunes.
Authorities report that the accused took Kritarth to a remote location with the intention of conducting the ritual. However, when the boy woke up and began to cry, he was reportedly strangled in an attempt to silence him. Teacher Veerpal Singh and principal Laxman Singh were allegedly on the scene, purportedly ensuring that no one interrupted the grim proceedings.
Subsequent Actions and Investigation
Following the murder, the accused informed Kritarth’s parents that he was unwell and being transported to the hospital in Baghel's vehicle. In a twist of fate, the family managed to intercept the car and alerted the police about their son’s demise. A thorough investigation led to the confessions from the accused, who indicated that the act was intended as a sacrificial offering for the school’s prosperity.
The police have filed an FIR against the five accused under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, and they are currently in custody.
