A socialite and philanthropist Dorcas Adeyinka has denied all the allegations made against her by the Nigerian police. Adeyinka, who was recently declared wanted by the police for alleged cyber-stalking, abduction, and murder, has come forward to clarify the situation.
According to Adeyinka, she was summoned to Abuja by the police on May 6, 2024, but she informed them that she could not afford the transportation due to her bank accounts being frozen. However, she mentioned that she has contacted her lawyer, and the issue will be sorted out soon.
"I'm still in Nigeria. My ticket to the United Kingdom is open, and I'm not even traveling anytime soon. Why would I be declared wanted when I didn't commit all the crimes leveled against me? I'm even a victim of Cyberstalking. Abike Jagaban and her cohorts have shown me Shege!" Adeyinka stated firmly.
Furthermore, the founder of the Dorcas Adeyinka's Empowerment Foundation revealed that an Abuja court has summoned two social media users, Tolulope Adeoye, also known as Abike Jagaban, and Tolulope Odegbami, also known as Olowosibi. The court has ordered them to appear in person on June 4, 2024, to answer the charges of criminal defamation filed by Adeyinka.
The court summons, which was exclusively obtained by PUNCH, indicates that Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna has ordered the two defendants to appear before the court to address the allegations of sharing Adeyinka's nude photo online, which she claims has defamed her character.
