Former militant leader Asari Dokubo has publicly accused President Bola Tinubu of betrayal, following his extensive financial support during the presidential campaign. Dokubo, who said he had drained his bank account to assist in Tinubu's election efforts, expressed his disappointment and frustration in a recent statement.
"The Tinubu I saw during the campaign is not the Tinubu I see today," Dokubo lamented. "I am deeply disappointed. From today, I will work towards forming an alliance with the north."
Dokubo's remarks came just days after he suggested that he should be held accountable if President Tinubu's administration fails to deliver on its promises.
As tensions mount, it remains to be seen how Dokubo's move to ally with northern leaders will impact the fragile political landscape in Nigeria.
