The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including friends, well-wishers, traditional leaders, party faithful, and Governor Obaseki himself.
Omobayo Godwin, a 38-year-old native of Akoko Edo Local Government Area, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. With a B.Eng Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Public Administration from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Omobayo is well-equipped to serve as a professional and knowledgeable administrator.

He is a registered member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Prior to his appointment, Omobayo worked as a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Dresser Wayne West Africa Limited, where he played a pivotal role in the company's operations and growth in the South-South region.

Additionally, Omobayo has actively engaged in local politics, earning the trust of his community and successfully mobilizing them for various causes. His ability to bridge political divides and overcome challenges has made him well-regarded among his peers.

As Omobayo Godwin assumes his new position as deputy governor, the people of Edo State eagerly anticipate the positive impact he will have on the region's development and progress.
