The Picoreteam have advised the pioneers on Pi network to be aware of scammers who confuse them to use other wallets as a ploy to scam them.

@PiCoreTeam on Aug 25th - 9:11pm released a news letter to advised the pioneers.

The newsletter read below ;

PROTECT YOUR PASSPHRASE TO AVOID LOSING PI! Your passphrase should ONLY be entered on the Pi Wallet at the “wallet.pi” URL in the Pi Browser. Pi Core Team members will NEVER ask Pioneers for wallet passphrases. Be careful—scammers have been creating fake Pi Wallet login pages (that even appear on Pi products like Pi Browser with false URLs) to get Pioneers’ wallet passphrases and steal their Pi.

Note this below:

Concerning your PI Passphrase, please kindly be aware that the passphrase is very unique and any little changes to the way those words are arranged will be shown as *error or incorrect passphrase*

You don’t wanna end up resetting your wallet every single time you want to log in. To reset you passphrase, you may need to create another test wallet on PI Browser
Pioneers need to be reminded that they’ll be NO such thing as *”recover passphrase”* after Mainnet Migration. You could save it on your email or your cloud so that you don’t forget it again.
