Customs Officer Found Dead in Abuja Apartment (PHOTOS)

Abdulwahab Magaji, an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service serving in the Federal Capital Territory, has been found dead in his residence on Binta Street, Farm Estate area, Abuja.

According to a senior law enforcement officer, the incident occurred last Monday. The family of the deceased had reportedly raised the alarm that Magaji had shot himself with a rifle, prompting the police to immediately rush to the scene.

When the police arrived, they found the victim and quickly transported him to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

The source further stated, “A family of the deceased had raised the alarm that CSC Abdulahi Abdulwahab Magaji, a customs officer serving in Abuja, shot himself in his house at Farm Centre with a pump-action rifle.”

The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family for burial according to Islamic rites.

Efforts to reach the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, for comments were unsuccessful, as her phone line was not answered. Similarly, the Customs National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, could not be reached for further details, as his phone was switched off, and messages sent were not responded to at the time of filing this report.
