Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and the host community have called for justice over the murder of a final year student of the University, Temitayo Ayodeji Ayodeji was stabbed to death on Thursday by an indigene of the town, Damilola Adejumo, who fled after the satanic act.
The alleged killer, Damilola has since then declared wanted.

Students of the university, who described some of the indigenes of the town as allegedly being hostile towards the students, said Adejumo must be made to face the wrath of law.
The Public Relations Officer, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, South-West, Comrade Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, in a statement said the association have called on the authorities to ensure that those responsible for Ayodeji’s death are brought to book.
NANS also stated that the student area of the institution should be declared “a state of emergency”, urging all security agencies to swift into action immediately.”
Also, the spokesperson for the Alale of Akungba, Oba Sunday Adeyeye, Ajimo III, Chief Alaba Yusuf, said the community had also swung into action to apprehend those behind the student’s death.
He said the monarch condemned the action of the indigene who allegedly stabbed the student.
The Akinrogun of Akungba land said the community and the university were doing everything possible to ensure the killer was arrested.
