The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, and shared humanity during the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a press statement signed by his Spokesman Olaniyi Stephen and, released to the Pressmen after the Eid-el-Kabir today in Ibadan, Gbolarumi described the occasion as a moment for reflection, gratitude, and commitment to building a just and equitable Nigeria.

“This joyous occasion provides an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and commitment to Islam’s values of peace, tolerance, and compassion,” Gbolarumi noted, emphasizing that the challenges confronting the nation require collective efforts and unity.
The former Deputy Governor urged Nigerians to reject divisive narratives and leverage the country’s diversity as a strength, saying, “Regardless of our ethnic, religious, or political differences, we are first and foremost Nigerians. Our diversity is our greatest strength, and our unity is our most powerful weapon against adversity.”

Gbolarumi acknowledged current economic and security challenges but added, “There is no doubt that we shall witness the divine dividends of your prayers going forward.”
