A 19-year-old first-year student of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to poison her male acquaintance, who had offered to teach her how to drive.
According to reports, the suspect had been staying at the victim’s residence when she arrived with a syringe and a bottle of Sniper, a potent insecticide. Unbeknownst to the man, she allegedly injected the poisonous substance into three bottles of water meant for his consumption and possibly that of his friends.
However, her plan unraveled when the man discovered the Sniper in her bag and confronted her. Upon further investigation, needle punctures were found in the water bottles, raising suspicions. Additionally, a To-Do list was discovered in her possession, containing coded instructions that allegedly included a directive to kill the man.
Authorities have since taken the suspect into custody for further interrogation as investigations continue.
