Hundreds of #EndBadGovernance protesters on Thursday invaded the residence of former President Muhammadu Buhari in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
The protesters blocked the road linking Mai’adua-Daura and Katsina as they vented their anger over the state of governance in the country.
This came as Nigerians across the country commenced a nationwide protest against the administration of President Bola Tinubu. The demonstration, which defied warnings and appeals from Tinubu, his ministers, and security agencies, recorded significant turnouts in several states as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
In Daura, the protesters stormed Buhari’s residence, demanding urgent actions to address the challenges facing the nation. The demonstrators accused the government of failing to fulfill its promises and address the pressing concerns of the citizens.
The protest in Daura disrupted economic activities as the blockade of the road caused a gridlock, affecting the movement of people and goods.
Despite the government’s efforts to discourage the protest, the citizens remained resolute in their determination to make their voices heard and demand better governance.
