A Nigerian man has shed light on the ongoing sexual scandal in Equatorial Guinea involving Balthazar Engonga, who has been caught on tape engaging in sexual encounters with over 400 women, including pregnant and married individuals.
The Nigerian man explained cultural differences in attitudes towards relationships between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. He noted that, unlike in Nigeria where women often expect financial rewards, women in Equatorial Guinea can be more easily approached through casual gestures like offering cigarettes and demonstrating charm in intimate encounters.
He also highlighted the tumultuous marriage of Engonga and his wife, Samantha Gemita. Despite being caught numerous times in compromising situations, they eventually settled on an open marriage arrangement, allowing each other to engage with other partners, record their encounters, and review them together.
The controversy escalated when explicit recordings of Samantha Gemita surfaced alongside videos found during a probe into Balthazar’s alleged corruption. The tapes reportedly included encounters with several married women, raising eyebrows as one of the women involved is linked to the country’s presidential security, as well as claims involving Engonga’s own sister-in-law.
As the scandal continues to unfold, it has captured national attention, reflecting deeper societal issues regarding fidelity and morality in Equatorial Guinea.
