A man who had been impersonating a deceased individual to deceive unsuspecting land buyers in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State has been apprehended. The suspect, who had been working in collaboration with land agents, was exposed after his fraudulent activities came to light.

Claiming to be a lawyer and a graduate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, the man was unable to provide any credible details about his education. When questioned, he failed to name any of his lecturers, schoolmates, or even the law school he purportedly attended.

Upon realizing they had been deceived, angry locals took matters into their own hands, subjecting him to a severe beating before handing him over to the police for further investigation. Authorities are now looking into the full extent of his fraudulent dealings.
