Ibadan is set to bid a final farewell to the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Frederick Akinloye Iyanda Owolabi Olakunlehin, whose burial has been scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2025.
The revered monarch, who died on Monday, July 7, at the age of 90, will be honoured with a week-long series of events celebrating his life of service, leadership, and commitment to unity and youth development in Ibadan and Oyo State.
According to a programme released to the press, the obsequies will begin on Monday, August 4, and culminate in the funeral service on Friday, August 8, at the Cathedral of Saint Peters, Aremo, Ibadan.
