An 18-year-old Filipino-Nigerian girl is searching for her long-lost father, Paschal Ogbuagu Nnanna, in the hopes of reuniting their family.
The young woman, whose name has not been disclosed, was born in the Philippines to a Filipino mother and Nigerian father. Shortly after her birth, her father returned to his home country of Nigeria due to undisclosed circumstances, leaving the child behind with her mother.
Now an adult, the girl is reaching out to the public for help in locating her father, whose last known address was in Enugu state, Nigeria. A copy of his passport photo has been circulated along with the plea for information.
Luckily for the girl, her search has been successful. Chude Nnamdi, who helped share the story, reported that the father has been found. However, the reunion has been complicated by the Philippine mother, who allegedly prevented the father from having contact with the child over the years.
Despite the obstacles, Nnamdi expressed hope that the father and daughter will be able to reconnect and work through the years of separation. “I wish him and his child all the best!” Nnamdi said.
